Where does the time go?!

Well, this entire month has been full of constant motion and the feeling of always needing to be doing something! Every since we got the ball rolling on selling our house, it has been chaos bringing that reality to life. It is ridiculous how much work it is to keep your house straight when you're trying to pack up and move stuff at the same time!
Ok, now that I have said my peace about that I feel I can talk about our trip to Washington. I was sad that Jared couldn't be there because he was doing Army training in Wisconsin. He wasn't too pleased to have to be there either...It was so nice to be able to visit with family and a few friends though! Cache was of course being a big show off and had to smile and giggle with everyone. He also decided that this would be a great time to learn to crawl! It's absolutely wonderful knowing that he will not be flailing like a fish out of water every time I turn around, however, on the other hand, he is always in a different spot and finding new things to get into now! He has almost perfected the crawl from a scoot. If he really wants something (usually my special red cup or me) he will get there!

We spent a lot of our time relaxing and taking it easy because poor Cache had a cold and was having a rough time sleeping sometimes. He sure didn't let that get to him during the day though! We went out to lunch with Grammy Marquis at Panera bread, where I had a delicious Thai salad and Cache enjoyed the bread. It is such a cute little bakery in Issaquah.

We also got to visit Snoqualmie Falls, which has been practically in my backyard for most of my life, and yet I didn't really appreciate it until we moved away! Grandpa Kenny took us there on a mini outing while he took a break from work. The Falls were so full of water that it was misting like rain all the way up on the walkway and the weather was cold enough that a sheet of ice was on all the banisters. The trees on the walkway had ice that was melting and forming all at the same time. Cache didn't seem to mind the moisture much as there was so much to look at.

You can really see the moisture in this one...and no, he's not being sacrificed to the Waterfall Gods...
I was lucky enough to have the chance to get together with my good friends from high school (and before that) Elizabeth and Danelle for dinner! We went to the Issaquah Brewhouse and the food was so good! It was an awkward place to go because parking was practically non-existent so we had to park across the street at the Library. Cache did really well and he flirted with all the waitresses, as usual. :) Liz is 20 weeks pregnant and she just found out that they are having a little girl! That is so awesome! I didn't get any pictures at the restaurant, but we did go to Danelle's house after dinner so I could change Cache's diaper so I got some good shots there! She has this hilarious bird that I can't remember the name of right now, but he was saying "hello" and "love you" and he would dance with Danelle. So funny!

We got to go out to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Cole and Uncle Brandi and Aunt Anna at Jay Barry's in North Bend. It was lots of good food and fun! It was so good to see everyone, especially good timing because Mike (Grandpa Cole) ended up in the hospital the next night! No fun! We apparently didn't even get any pictures of Mike and Cache!

While we were there over Valentine's Day without Jared, which kinda sucked...we did happen to be there for Lily's 14th birthday (also February 14)! I hope she had a good birthday, but I know that we had lots of fun helping her enjoy it! She wasn't able to find anybody that would pierce her nose (under 16) because of Liability Insurance, but with a little help from my friends on Facebook, we were able to find a good, professional place that would do it for her! Yay for holey noses! For her birthday dinner, we all went to Bucca Di Beppos in Seattle, which is one of our favorite Italian Restaurants. The food is served family style and it is always delicious! It was so nice that Brandi could join us because he was actually on-call for work (Diebold) but he was able to stay the whole time! At the end of dinner, they brought out some candles and the staff all sang Happy Birthday and brought some yummy desert!

We had many adventures, and the least of which was his first "blackout" or power outage. Things like this happen more often in Washington as there are more trees that can fall in a windstorm or limbs that break under heavy rainfall. Not to mention those crazy drivers who don't know what hydroplaning is. Needless to say, he handled it like a champ. Unfortunately, this happened just as we were getting ready to webchat with Jared on Skype. And Grammy (Jean) was having a guest over for dinner and had to prepare it quite craftily. Here are a few pictures from our time there.

Well, other than a few anecdotes that I could share about the plane ride home (which he handled beautifully) and the friends he made there, there is nothing else to share for now! I have other stories to come I hope. :)

Cache's first plane trip!

Since Jared is in Wisconsin for Army training, I thought it would be fun to fly to washigton for a visit with family. Of course, the tickets were bought the day before we found out about all this moving business, otherwise it probably wouldn't have happened. But since the tickets had been purchased, we were still able to go. I was expecting it to be a little crazy and a little hectic, but actually it went pretty smoothly.  Stefanie dropped us off after Cache was nice enough to nap on the way to the airport. We got our boarding documents quickly and checked our luggage. Thankfully, I had brought his stroller, which made life a ton easier. He was able to snack and rest while I pushed him around the airport.
We found an awesome little play area that had toys for kids to play with! We stopped for a minute, but couldn't stay long...
On the plane we were lucky enough to get an aisle seat with an empty seat between us and the nice lady in the window seat. She had her study material out and it turns out that she is trying to get into nursing school. So we had some stuff to talk about...at least when I wasn't trying to keep Cache from grabbing the guy's head in front of us or pulling the tray table down on himself. Everyone was super nice, and even some guy opened my peanuts for me while Cache was taking a nap! I was lucky enough to have him nap for about a half hour on the plane and he only cried for about a minute on descent. I think his ears were hurting.

Everyone thought he was super cute and said he did a great job. I certainly can't complain!
Well, here we are in Washington, and now Cache is having a good time visiting with family. He's gonna have lots of fun! :) Let's just hope that the plane ride home is just as good! :)

The chaos involved with moving....

Well, we have been madly preparing our house for the last few weeks to get it ready for showing. It has been a long process of late nights, no rest, and constant cleaning, but we have the bulk of it done. Thanks to a wonderful family, the Thomas', we were able to store our trailers elsewhere and the outside even looks better than before! Stefanie came over and staged our house with things from around her house and it just looks so nice! It looks better than when we were living in it day to day! Currently, we are still living there, but in the weeks to come, things will slowly be changing in that department as well. Jared starts his new job on the 28th of February, so he will have to be out there then. Cache and I will be staying behind for a little while, but hopefully the house doesn't take too long to sell....It's a bittersweet feeling knowing that we are moving forward, but we are leaving behind some great friends and neighbors to do so....
Here are some pictures of our house:

The puppies have also been listed on KSL for sale. Only one puppy has been claimed (except those that Jean and Steve are taking). They are getting more rowdy every day and they are certainly playful!

I also have a few pictures of just Cache having fun!

We went and got mail, I turned around and this is what i find :)

He is officially "scoot-crawlling" when he feels like it. He can finally get himself off of his tummy if he is not too tired and he will let you know when he is! He is so much fun, though trying to get the house all cleaned up while he naps or while holding him is a little difficult. Wouldn't trade it for the world though :)
