Since Jared is in Wisconsin for Army training, I thought it would be fun to fly to washigton for a visit with family. Of course, the tickets were bought the day before we found out about all this moving business, otherwise it probably wouldn't have happened. But since the tickets had been purchased, we were still able to go. I was expecting it to be a little crazy and a little hectic, but actually it went pretty smoothly. Stefanie dropped us off after Cache was nice enough to nap on the way to the airport. We got our boarding documents quickly and checked our luggage. Thankfully, I had brought his stroller, which made life a ton easier. He was able to snack and rest while I pushed him around the airport.
We found an awesome little play area that had toys for kids to play with! We stopped for a minute, but couldn't stay long...
On the plane we were lucky enough to get an aisle seat with an empty seat between us and the nice lady in the window seat. She had her study material out and it turns out that she is trying to get into nursing school. So we had some stuff to talk about...at least when I wasn't trying to keep Cache from grabbing the guy's head in front of us or pulling the tray table down on himself. Everyone was super nice, and even some guy opened my peanuts for me while Cache was taking a nap! I was lucky enough to have him nap for about a half hour on the plane and he only cried for about a minute on descent. I think his ears were hurting.
Everyone thought he was super cute and said he did a great job. I certainly can't complain!
Well, here we are in Washington, and now Cache is having a good time visiting with family. He's gonna have lots of fun! :) Let's just hope that the plane ride home is just as good! :)
