Funny things Cache says

It would seem that Cache is picking up new things to say all the time. Most of the time they don't come out clear, but they are usually decipherable if you hear it enough. So here are the new things that Cache says ( or ones I forgot to post last time)

Wa dddo?= What did you do?
All Done= all done
Bow= Bear (his stuffed bear)
Peas= please
Tanks or Tink tu= thanks or thank you
Woo-ee= Woody (as in Buzz and Woody from Toy Story)
Mimmy=Mommy
Hi!= Hi
Buh bye!= buh bye
key key= blankie
key= key
Cah= car
cheese= cheese
choo-choo= train
do= two
tee= three
yay= yay
weee!=weee
teef= teeth
ball= ball
Tyla= Tyler (has evolved from Rala)

His new favorite thing is counting to three before going down the slide or doing just about anything fun lol. It usually comes out as, " Do, do, tee! Yay!" He's getting better at please and thank you. It's certainly better than pointing and grunting, but he still does his fair share of that.

Well, I'm 16.5 weeks pregnant! How did that happen? I would post a picture but seeing as how I'm all dressed for yard work (spring came super early!) it will have wait for another day. I'm sure the previous easter egg hunt pictures gave you some clue...

Camping in March?? Yup...

So the weather has been insanely good here, and after a very mild winter, we are seeming to have an early spring...or early summer. The temperatures have been in the mid to upper 70's and sometimes in the 80's so we decided it would be a good time to get out camping with some friends! Of course, all the campgrounds are technically closed, but they told us that we could hook up to electrical so with our trailers it wasn't so bad. Being that we went with friends, Major and Jill, we had a good time! Cache just loves playing with his little friend Tyler and would call for him first thing in the morning. We had found two spots backed right up to a playground in the middle of the campground so the two little guys could play and we wouldn't really have to leave camp. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures because I was trying to keep my cell phone in the trailer most of the time. Get away from technology and all.
Cache did really well camping, and we didn't even put him in the pack n' play! We just set up his little bed over the table and he slept there without falling off or getting out of bed. Granted, he did wake up a few times, probably because he was in a new place, but it was simple to just lay next to him for a few minutes until he fell asleep! Our little man is growing up!
The Easter Bunny did set up an Easter egg hunt for the two boys, but Tyler wasn't really interested and Cache had the same problem with eating the candy before he was done hunting, but that's ok. It's the thought that counts. I did get some pictures of that. So here are the limited pictures I did take during the camping trip.

Easter Egg hunt and Cookies

Cache is finally old enough to sort-of understand the whole concept of Easter egg hunting. So, for fun, we made plans with our friends Carol and Jason to do a hunt at their house and decorate sugar cookies afterwards. It was a lot of fun, even though Carol and I ended up with the brunt of the cookie decorating, it was fun for the kids to cut out the different shapes and get a little messy. Even Cache enjoyed this part. I never know what he's going to like when it comes to getting dirty. He's a little timid when it comes to dirty hands. He asks for them to be cleaned off about every third Cheeto, so it's hard to guess sometimes. But he had tons of fun with the dough and wasn't shy about getting his hands into it!
First cookie cut!

He really liked the bunny cookie cutter. He held onto it waiting for more dough lol

Helping roll out dough! Silly smile

Finished product! ( a little out of order)

Cache's masterpiece...a mound of dough

Such a goof! Popeye Smile!

Poor Jared was sick and tired at this point, but Carol got a shot of him on their couch :)

Can you tell which one is Cache's? I'll give you a hint...it's a bunny, on top of a bunny, on top of a bunny... lol
 Carol and Jason have a 6 year old and a 6 month old. The 6 year old had a friend over and they were all over the place! But they did take Cache out on the trampoline and played with him. He really enjoyed being one the of the "big kids" for a little while. At least until the dog in the backyard (Scooby) got a little too friendly. But they brought him right inside and all was well.
After cookies and lunch, we did an egg hunt! It was a lot of fun to see Cache running around carrying his little pail looking for cookies. Mostly, he had fun running after the big girls and giggling. It took some convincing and lots of pointing to get him to notice the eggs. :) Whenever he found one, he was immediately curious as to what was in them and spent most of his time just eating the jelly beans. But it was fun!
Before hunting began

Found one!

I'm trying to get him to keep his eggs in the basket. He kept loosing jelly beans lol

Left my pail behind!

Taking a break for more candy!

The kids...and me lol
 After the hunt, we all went back inside for a bit, but I couldn't find Jared and Cache...guess where I found them?

Riding Jason's bike! Like father like son :)
Another funny picture. Kind of random, but funny. While we were finishing up the cookies, Cache had wandered off in the house and I was looking for him. He was in Cloe's room...
Not sure how he got in there on his own, but he was having fun! :)
That's it for now! I have another story about camping this last weekend, but that will have to wait for chores to be over :)

Admitedly Overdue...

I must have some kind of resolution "fade-out" with blogging. When I look at this year's and last year's beginning of my blogs I seem to be all "gung-ho" and motivated, but it seems to slow down significantly after about a month or two. So, here I am, updating my blog. Things have gotten a little crazy while trying to plan summer fun this year. I'm slowly coming to the realization that the baby will be here before we know it and that I can't plan much for August because I will be HUGE! I have already grown a lot faster than I did with Cache and started hauling out the maternity clothes at about 12 weeks instead of 20 + weeks! I do have to say that I have been able to feel the baby move a few times and have been feeling "it" for about 2-3 weeks. They sure are right when they say you feel it much earlier! Of course, I was distracted with school the last time, so that could be part of it too ;)
I have been fortunate to have opportunities to listen the heartbeat or sneak a peak on ultrasound more often than the average South Dakotan...all benefits of working in the health field I suppose. :) I would take a picture of myself from today, but seeing as I don't have a big mirror where I'm at, you'll have to settle for a 14 week shot (I'm 15 weeks today...holy cow!) Sorry about the blurriness..the mirror I used in our house is almost 100 years old...
Jared has officially passed his annual training test and received a raise as well! So proud of him! We are counting down and only have 3 more years of training left! Woo hoo!

Cache is a little munchkin all his own. He's exerting more free will, throwing more tantrums (mostly when mommy doesn't put in a movie he wants to watch), and being so much more helpful around the house! He picks up his toys when asked (usually), puts his shoes and coat away after we play outside (also usually), loves to snuggle and watch Toy Story, and much much more. We are still working on the fact that he doesn't necessarily need his coat, hat and gloves when we go out the park (80 + degrees!), but at least he's being good and putting them on. He comes up with new things to say everyday and has a better sense of direction than I do. He gets mad if we are headed toward his friend Tyler's house but don't end up there. He can point in that general direction if we go the wrong way. If he's ready to leave somewhere (say one of my nurse's meetings or church) he will gather all of his things (that he can hold) and say "buh bye" loudly to everyone and drag Jared or I toward the door. This can sometimes end in tears if it isn't quite time to leave yet. lol.

Mostly we are trying to plan our summer, find cheap airfare, figure out what/how to deal with a new baby...lots going on! Here are some random pictures for you to enjoy.
