Even though the weather was not great, we took a little trip to Alki Beach in Seattle. After being "land-locked" for so long and then moving further away from the coast, I always have to find a way to go see the ocean. Sometimes I would say that I'd prefer if it were the Caribbean, but the Pacific Ocean will always be home. :) So we got there and it's not your typical sandy beach until you get right up to the water so there's a lot of drift wood and rocks. Even though it's not a place you'd want to lay out a towel most of the time, it's still great to hear those waves and watch the water go in and out. I think that if I had the chance and I wasn't chasing a toddler I might just enjoy sitting with a book and watching the ferry's go back and forth. When it's not raining of course. We didn't stay for long, but that was mostly because it was cold and I couldn't keep Cache out of the water for long. When he finally figured out that there was water nearby, he just wanted to be in it! He is such a water bug! He even got wet up to his knees wading in the surf and he had shoes, socks, and jeans on! He would have gone further if I had let him too.

I think he was wondering why he wasn't in the water anymore :) |

Ha ha! Mom's letting me go back! |

Constantly wrangling him away from the water didn't work when he'd just walk right back |

Dirty hands! |

Taking Grammy Jean on a walk |
He did learn how to wipe his own hands when they get dirty. He got sand on them and didn't seem to like that feeling so he complained, but then after one demonstration he had it down! He still does this when he gets dirty. Even if it's food :) Anyway, we had fun at Alki Beach with Grammy Jean even though it wasn't sunny!
