This weekend we are in Wisconsin with some friends. The husband is in Jared's unit and the kids and I hang out at their house while they work! It's so much fun and Cache just loves seeing "Nana" (Lena). It's about a 6 hour trip, but the kids handle it pretty well. Apparently we arrived just after a snow storm that closed schools for the day and the unit was closed as well. Of course, it was just fine on the roads by the time we got there, but that meant that we only spent a little time at Jared's unit before heading to our friend's house. We got to see where Jared spends all that time when he's gone and Cache got to play on a "gator" (small car).
Lena is starting potty training and it was her first day! She's had the potties for a while and Cache remembered them from last time because he likes the fun sounds they make. :) But I've discovered the benefit of having another kid about his age around because they all want to be doing what the other is doing. Now, this is only good if the actions they want to copy are good, I suppose. But Lena watched Cache sit on the "big potty" and she wanted to use the little potty! It was a potty party! Also, I've gotten Cache to eat fish sticks (gluten free), peanuts and raisons all on this trip because he watched Lena eat them! Score!
